Tournaments We Attend
The board will determine which tournaments the Banshees will attend, and how many teams we will send by a request of RSVPs to show interest.
Maximum Number of Players on a Team
In-town tournaments will include a maximum of 12 players (not including the goalie) per team. Out-of-town tournaments will include a maximum of 12 players (not including the goalie) per team.
Payment Calculation
Tournament fees will be calculated by dividing the tournament cost by 10.
Signup Deadline
The registration deadline will be approximately 2 to 3 weeks before the tournament date so that players who will be in the tournament have a chance to practice together after the roster is determined and waitlist players
will have a chance to plan if a roster spot opens up.
Qualifying Practices
Priority placement on a tournament roster will be given on a first to pay/first to play basis. Those members, who have attended 2 practices, 30 days prior to the tournament registration deadline, will be given registration priority for a given tournament. In the case that a scheduled practice or scrimmage is cancelled, accommodations for this rule will be made at that time. This 30-day timeline will be listed with the tournament
registration information. In the case that a player who has registered for a given tournament does not meet this requirement, her place will be filled by the waiting list, if applicable.
Signup Procedure
You must remain up to date with membership and practice fees to sign up or remain on the roster. The signup deadline and qualifying practices will be announced. Payment may be given to any board member.
Tracking Payments
Roster consideration will be given on a first to pay/first to play basis. The fee collector will record the date and time payment is received and place players on the signup sheet in that order. Post marks will count as
date received.
Determining the Roster
Actual placement on a tournament or scrimmage team will be by the following method:
o Roster: On the signup deadline the fee collector will determine if the players on the signup sheet have met the practice requirement for that tournament. The first 12 players on the signup sheet for out-of-town
tournaments, in order of payment received, who have met the practice requirement will be placed on the roster.
o Waitlist: The remaining members on the signup sheet who have met the practice requirement will be placed on the waitlist in order of payment received. Those who have not met the practice requirement will be placed on the bottom of the waitlist in order of payment received.
Minimum Number of Players
In the event that a roster does not have a minimum of 10 players by the signup deadline, members in good standing may apply for a spot on a first to pay/first to play basis. In the case of a tie, priority consideration will
be given to members with 2 qualifying practices, then to members without 2 qualifying practices.
Non-Banshee Registration
If the event does not have the minimum number of required players from the Banshees membership, non-Banshees who are registered with USA Hockey may apply.
Refunds
Event fees are non-refundable unless a player's spot is filled by another player. To withdraw from an event, the player must notify the board for resolution as soon as possible. Hotel fees are subject to the refund policy
of the purchasing agent (Priceline, for example, has a no-refund policy).
Team Placement
Players will be placed on teams according to the Banshees coaches' discretion
